The studio history
Almost all of Man or Astro-man's recording has been done at one place...Zero Return Studios.
This studio was carefully crafted to obtain the sound of Man or Astro-man? and has evolved over the years. Unfourtunatly, the studio environment was designed and built around the needs of the astro-men with little concern for any human needs. Details like lack of oxygen, lack of constant gravity, biological waste removal systems and other trivial matters, limited the use of the studio to those who could handle these extreme conditions. Very few humans have ever even entered, let alone, worked, in such hostile surroundings.
Of the few earthlings that have managed to enter, only a select few have been able to work in Zero Return. The most notable being our human counterpart and ally Jim Marrer.
Jim is the "Mission Control" of most Astro-recording projects. He has the much needed earth based technical skills needed to run the arcane earth based recording equipment.
A few others have worked succefully with Zero Returns, and they should be noted for thier courage, honor, and stamina. Of these few, are Earthling Steve Albini, and Human Andy Baker.
Not newcomers to the recording world, but very new to the hostile environments located deep inside Zero Return.
But now a new day has dawned
and although Man or Astro-man does not NEED it, we have realized that some additional human allys will help further our master plans of earth dominace, and departure from this planet.
So now, with the aid of future technology brought to the present by yours tuely, we have fully retrofitted Zero Return to accomodate human based recording projects...like yours.
No longer will you, the human, have to undergo the rigourous training period required to prepare you both mentally and physically for the extreme conditions at the old facility. This is now a thing of the past!
The reams of paper work, redtape, and security clearance currently required to even step foot on the property of Zero Return, are no longer be required.
Now you, with the aid of Astro-Technology, are able to record your audio projects in the newly rebuilt Zero Return.
We have finished the process of redesigning Zero Return and building a new facility that can now accomodate not only those from beyond, but humans too. A breakthough in Astro-Technology .
